The Executive Chef role at Bonaventure Senior Living is a full-time position integral to the dining services department and overall resident experience. The Executive Chef will be responsible for recruiting and retaining kitchen staff, inspiring exceptional customer service, and collaborating with health services to provide specialized dining support for residents with unique dietary needs. Event planning and scheduling also fall within the scope of this position, emphasizing its multifaceted nature.

Job Duties

  • Oversee kitchen and wait staff while managing budget and inventory
  • Recruit and maintain kitchen staff

  • Create and maintain the schedule for the dining services team
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and dining room
  • Plan and direct all food preparation and service in accordance with Bonaventure Senior Living standards
  • Adhere to all state and federal regulations for long-term care communities
  • Handle event planning for special events
  • Collaborate with health services to provide dining support for residents who require it such as mitigating weight loss or addressing specific dietary needs
