The Executive Chef role at Aramark is a crucial management position responsible for overseeing chef managers and hourly culinary staff while ensuring culinary operations meet the highest standards of production, presentation, and service. In this position, the Executive Chef ensures that culinary production aligns with the company’s Executional Framework, which promotes consistency, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. They lead by example, providing training, coaching, and motivation to culinary and kitchen employees to adopt best practices in food production. Regular team meetings and daily huddles are part of fostering clear communication and a shared understanding of goals. The chef also manages employee recognition programs to reward outstanding performance and uphold morale.

A significant aspect of the role includes managing food costs and labor targets, interpreting performance metrics, analyzing order and inventory trends, and applying margin improvement strategies. The Executive Chef must ensure the integrity of Aramark's standard food offerings while upholding food quality and safety standards, complying with all regulatory and operational policies, and maintaining proper equipment operation and maintenance. Developing effective client and guest relationships through direct daily interaction is also essential to this position.

The role demands thorough knowledge and application of the Food Framework and the supply chain processes, including authorized supplier management and accurate food consumption estimation for requisition and purchasing purposes. Safety and compliance with occupational and environmental policies, along with wage and hour regulations, form a foundation for all kitchen operations under this role.

This salaried position offers competitive compensation ranging from $70,000 to $80,000 annually, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, and work/life resources. Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Ensure culinary production appropriately connects to the Executional Framework
  • Ensure proper culinary standards and techniques are in place for preparation of food items including production presentation and service standards
  • Manage a culinary team including chef managers and hourly staff to ensure quality in final presentation of food
  • Train and manage culinary and kitchen employees to use best practice food production techniques
  • Coach employees by creating a shared understanding about what needs to be achieved and how it is to be achieved
  • Reward and recognize employees
  • Plan and execute team meetings and daily huddles
