With a foundation built on creating quality culinary concepts from scratch, this company has earned its reputation by consistently delivering exceptional culinary experiences. Expanding beyond traditional catering, Proof of the Pudding has successfully ventured into Sports and Entertainment Hospitality Services. This expansion includes providing elevated concessions and premium offerings to a wide range of venues and events such as collegiate stadiums, PGA golf tournaments, international boat shows, and professional sports teams among others. The company’s commitment to excellence and quality has made it a trusted name in culinary service across various high-profile events. Employment with Proof of the Pudding for this role is full-time and salaried, with competitive compensation in the range of $100,000 to $120,000 annually, complemented by performance bonuses and comprehensive employee benefits.

The Executive Chef role at the University of Georgia (UGA), Athens, GA, places you at the culinary helm overseeing premium culinary operations across prominent athletic venues including Sanford Stadium for football, Foley Field for baseball, and Stegeman Coliseum for basketball. The role also extends support to additional venues within the Gwinnett district and beyond, requiring a leadership approach that is both innovative and operationally sound. University of Georgia is a large campus known for its passionate Bulldog fanbase, drawing crowds upwards of 65,000 for football games alone, which demands top-tier culinary execution for premium hospitality guests.

Your core responsibilities will encompass the total management and culinary direction for premium hospitality areas including multiple suites and clubs corresponding to the different sports venues. You will be orchestrating meticulous culinary planning, ordering, menu creation, and flawless execution on event days to ensure quality, presentation, and consistency meet the company’s high standards. This role demands expertise in managing high-volume food preparation, maintaining impeccable safety and sanitation standards, and developing creative menus that represent the Proof of the Pudding brand.

Additionally, the Executive Chef will be responsible for financial oversight including food cost management, budgeting, purchasing, and maintaining supplier relationships. You will lead, train, and schedule culinary staff, work collaboratively with sales and operations teams to drive company sales and ensure event success, and facilitate clear communication across departments regarding event operations. You will contribute to team morale and help in the hiring and onboarding process of new culinary team members. This position requires a leader who thrives in a dynamic environment, committed to culinary innovation and customer satisfaction while supporting operations across various venues within the region.
