Job Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar leadership role in a hospitality or culinary setting
  • Strong background in hospitality with a focus on senior living or healthcare food service preferred
  • Culinary certification or degree is preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation standards
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Leadership and team management abilities

Job Duties

  • Oversee all culinary operations including menu planning food preparation and presentation ensuring high standards of quality and safety
  • Develop and implement nutritious balanced and appealing menus tailored to the dietary needs of senior residents
  • Manage kitchen staff including hiring training scheduling and performance evaluations
  • Maintain compliance with health safety and sanitation regulations
  • Control food costs and manage inventory to optimize efficiency and minimize waste
  • Collaborate with healthcare and activity teams to coordinate special events and themed dining experiences
  • Ensure a positive dining environment that promotes resident satisfaction and well-being
  • Stay current with culinary trends and incorporate innovative ideas into menu development
