Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-3 years of kitchen management experience
- Current Food Handler's card
- Proficient computer skills
- Ability to work variable event-driven schedule including nights and weekends
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to maintain safe and sanitary kitchen environments
- Capacity to manage food cost controls and inventory
- Professional appearance and demeanor
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 2-3 years kitchen management experience in full-service restaurant or events venue
- Proven ability to meet projected food costs
- Professional appearance and presentation
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Food Handler's card and alcohol service permit as required
- Experience with employee scheduling in hospitality
- Certification in nationally recognized sanitation program
- Strong knowledge of food preparation methods
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to train, coach, and motivate staff
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Self-directed and team-oriented
- Flexible schedule to work nights and weekends
Job Duties
- Manage culinary team including hiring, firing, and disciplining staff
- Coach and mentor culinary and event staff promoting a positive work environment
- Control food costs through inventory, portion, and waste management
- Schedule kitchen staff and monitor labor costs
- Ensure quality, consistency, and presentation of food products
- Develop menus and oversee food preparation processes
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations
