Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 4 years culinary management experience
- Proven leadership and culinary skills
- Ability to train and motivate staff
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Experience in budget management
- Proficiency with computer applications
- Management ServSafe certification
- Ability to lift and stand for extended periods
- Physical capability to handle kitchen equipment
Job Qualifications
- At least 4 years culinary management experience in high volume fine dining
- Steakhouse experience preferred
- Proven culinary and leadership skills
- Ability to train staff on guest interaction and service
- Creativity and knowledge of food trends
- Basic math skills and financial report understanding
- Health and safety standards compliance
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to multitask and work in fast paced environment
- Proficiency with computers
- Experience managing payroll and schedules
- Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- College education or culinary degree preferred
- Management ServSafe certification
- Physical ability to lift, carry, push, and stand for long periods
- Skilled in culinary tools usage and taste evaluation
Job Duties
- Assist the General Manager in budgeting food cost and payroll
- Control overheads and achieve food cost budget
- Adhere to Bob’s Steak and Chop House Standard Recipes
- Work with Food and Beverage Director on capital expenditures
- Ensure smooth running of daily kitchen operations
- Maintain standards for purchasing and receiving items
- Create recipes and production methods
- Inspect food service sections during service
- Control equipment and schedule maintenance
- Stay updated on market trends and competitor offerings
- Promote in-house sales activities
- Manage food production staff and scheduling
- Recruit and train kitchen staff
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation
- Establish office procedures for menus and correspondence
- Participate in department meetings
