Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant culinary certification preferred
  • Minimum 4 years in a culinary leadership role
  • Experience in off-premise catering
  • Knowledge of food safety and health regulations
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple high-volume events
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Physical capability to lift up to 30 lbs
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Job Qualifications

  • 4+ years in a leadership or supervisory culinary role
  • Experience in off-premise catering preferred
  • Expert knowledge of various cuisines and cooking techniques
  • Strong integrity and professionalism
  • Self-motivated with enthusiasm for fast-paced environments
  • Interpersonal skills to maintain a safe, equitable, and inclusive workplace
  • Proven client relationship-building experience
  • Excellent listening and communication skills
  • Strong time management and delegation abilities
  • Ability to produce consistent products in high volume

Job Duties

  • Developing, costing, and executing unique and innovative custom menus
  • Collaborating with the sales team to set menu prices
  • Staying current on food and beverage catering trends
  • Maintaining kitchen and surrounding areas to health code standards
  • Monitoring inventory and purchasing from approved vendors
  • Executing events and food service with high quality and presentation
  • Producing consistent products in a high-volume environment
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of creative menu items
  • Creating and maintaining kitchen team morale
  • Assisting with hiring and training culinary team members
  • Scheduling staff and food production according to business demands
  • Leading weekly BEO meetings for cross-departmental communication
  • Overseeing client tastings, staff lunches, and other events
  • Managing food prep, distribution, and event execution
  • Continuously updating and innovating menus
