The company values work-life balance, innovation, and professional growth, making it a highly respected employer in various sectors globally.
Located in Denver, CO, Sodexo has an exciting opening for an Executive Chef 1 at Colorado Academy, a prestigious private pre-K through 12 college preparatory school set on a sprawling 96-acre campus. Colorado Academy is renowned for its exceptional community and commitment to holistic education, making it a unique environment for food service that caters to both nourishing daily meals and high-end catering events within a vibrant academic setting. This role offers the rare opportunity to combine culinary creativity with leadership in a setting that balances innovation with a commitment to quality and service. As Executive Chef 1, the successful candidate will oversee the production of approximately 1300 lunches daily for students and staff, alongside managing a range of catering services which include everything from daily continental breakfasts to sophisticated plated dinners for special school events and functions.
The role is designed for a culinary professional who thrives in dynamic environments and is eager to bring their food-focused expertise, creativity, and leadership to an established yet innovative program. The Executive Chef 1 will be responsible for managing all culinary operations including purchasing, menu compliance, inventory management, cost analysis, and food production forecasting. Beyond operational management, the successful candidate will be deeply involved in fostering a positive team culture that encourages culinary innovation and continuous professional development among team members. Maintaining Sodexo’s high culinary standards, ensuring food safety and sanitation compliance, and leveraging automated systems for inventory and production management are critical facets of this position.
Sodexo offers a competitive and fair compensation package, reflective of the candidate’s education, skills, and experience. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision care, wellness programs, 401(k) with matching contributions, paid time off, and company holidays. Additionally, Sodexo supports career growth and development through tuition reimbursement and other opportunities for advancement. This is a fantastic opportunity for an Executive Chef who is passionate about food, committed to excellence, and eager to lead a vibrant culinary team in an inspiring educational environment.
