This Executive Chef position is based at Leatherby’s Restaurant located within the Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa, California. The role involves leading both kitchen and service teams to ensure that the food quality and service exceed guest expectations. Effective leadership, innovation in recipe development, and operational management are key aspects of the role. The Executive Chef will be responsible for a wide range of duties including hiring and training kitchen staff, developing and maintaining recipes and preparation procedures, managing budgets and food costs, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. In addition, the Executive Chef must utilize technology such as Microsoft Office Suite and point-of-sale systems to monitor labor and inventory, and prepare operational reports that guide strategic decision-making.
The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of two years' experience as an Executive Chef in a high-volume, industry-leading concept, with at least five years of culinary experience in established restaurants or catering companies. Culinary certifications such as Culinary Arts degrees and ServSafe or Food Safety Handler certifications are preferred to ensure the highest standards of kitchen operation. Strong financial acumen and computer skills are essential to efficiently manage P&L statements, scheduling, and purchasing.

Job Duties
