We are looking to fill the Executive Chef position immediately. This position is an excellent opportunity for an energetic and entrepreneurial culinary professional passionate about making a difference in the lives of people and the community. The Executive Chef will oversee kitchen operations in a healthcare setting, ensuring a safe and sanitary work environment for kitchen staff. The role involves planning regular and modified menus according to established corporate guidelines and directing meal preparation that meets standardized recipes, portioning, and presentation standards. Attention to detail is critical as the Executive Chef will complete and utilize daily production worksheets and waste logs while regularly tasting meals to maintain quality. The position also includes training kitchen staff on food preparation, safe handling, equipment operation, and food safety and sanitation standards based on company policies and regulatory requirements.

Other key responsibilities include establishing and maintaining cleaning and maintenance schedules, managing inventory of food and non-food supplies efficiently, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations. The Executive Chef will participate in departmental meetings, staff development programs, and other professional initiatives. This role demands a hands-on approach and involves decisive management of leftover food products following company guidelines. Candidates should be equipped with computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, email, and internet usage. Job Requirements

  • Associate of Science degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of progressive culinary and kitchen management experience
  • Extensive catering experience a plus
  • Experience with high volume, complex foodservice operations
  • Hands-on chef experience required
  • Knowledge of food and catering trends related to quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, email and internet
  • ServSafe certification is highly desirable

Job Qualifications

  • Associate of Science degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of progressive culinary and kitchen management experience depending on formal degree or training
  • Extensive catering experience a plus

Job Duties
