Positioned within this dynamic company, the Executive Chef role at Covenant Health Park is critical in steering all culinary-related aspects, emphasizing the centrality of food in elevating the guest experience. This role commands an experienced culinary leader who possesses strong coaching skills and commercial acumen to inspire and manage the kitchen team effectively. With a salary range of $77,000 to $82,000 and a pay grade of 14, the Executive Chef leads with vision and operational excellence. The role includes setting menu standards, overseeing food safety and sanitation, controlling costs, collaborating cross-functionally with purchasing and finance teams, and leveraging social media to promote culinary offerings. This is a full-time leadership opportunity where the chef is regarded as the face of Levy on social channels and internal operations.

Job Requirements
- 5+ years leadership experience in a culinary leadership position
- Ability to taste and evaluate food and beverage products
- Culinary degree preferred
- High level of computer literacy
- Understanding of financial concepts
- Passion for hospitality, food, and retail
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
- Experience in social media preferred

Job Duties
- Proactively coaching and motivating team members to deliver their best
- Identifying opportunities and driving improvements in both the food and financial performance
- Overseeing all aspects of a safe and sanitary culinary department
- Working closely with the purchasing and finance teams to develop an offer that delivers financially and delights guests
- Building and developing the on-site culinary team
- Working closely with the regional and Home Office culinary teams to continually evolve the food experience for guests
- Supporting efforts to drive revenue by participating in social media activities
- Overseeing equipment maintenance routines
- Ensuring the creation of appropriate par levels in line with sales forecasts
- Creating and distributing team members schedules in line with revenue forecasts
- Overseeing menu design and updates in line with food trends and internal data, cost of goods, and popularity
- Creating menu build diagrams
- Maintaining recipe specifications, partnering with the purchasing team to update based on product availability and pricing
- Overseeing all routine kitchen management procedures including opening and closing checklists, cleaning schedules, temperature checks, waste sheets, and pest control
- Creating customized group sales/event menus in partnership with the sales teams
- Setting standards for chef table setups
- Creating prep sheets and line layout diagrams to ensure consistent and efficient food production
- Delivering training and coaching to team members on menu and culinary skills
- Managing team member breaks to ensure well-being
- Attending location management team meetings to build cross-department collaboration
- Delivering pre-shift meetings to set event tone
- Conducting progressive discipline to address performance issues
- Completing onboarding and orientation for new culinary team members
- Ensuring high standards in food ordering, delivery, prep, transportation, and service in line with Levy’s sanitation and safety Core Signatures
- Responding to communications in a timely manner
- Ensuring calorific analysis on all menu items per FDA guidelines
- Partnering with purchasing and operations teams to prevent product loss
- Participating in community outreach programs
- Managing support travel for team members
- Managing culinary department budget
- Performing other duties as assigned
