The Executive Chef role at Aramark is a vital management position responsible for leading culinary operations within the broader geographic region. This position oversees chef managers and hourly culinary staff, ensuring the development and execution of diverse culinary solutions that meet the distinct tastes and needs of customers and clients. The Executive Chef plays a crucial role in maintaining high standards for food production, presentation, and service, applying expert culinary techniques to ensure quality and consistency.
This role requires strategic oversight of all culinary functions, including training and managing culinary teams, coaching employees to create shared goals, and recognizing team achievements. The Executive Chef is responsible for efficient management of food and labor costs while driving margin improvements, understanding performance metrics, ordering trends, and inventory control. Key responsibilities also include maintaining compliance with Aramark's Operational Excellence fundamentals, food safety standards, and quality assurance policies, ensuring that all culinary operations adhere to strict health and safety regulations.
In addition, the Executive Chef will develop and maintain strong client and guest relationships by interacting directly with customers and responding to their needs. They are expected to stay current on regional culinary trends and incorporate these insights into menu development. The role demands proficient management of supply chain and procurement processes, guaranteeing that only authorized suppliers are utilized. Additionally, the Executive Chef must ensure the proper operation and maintenance of kitchen equipment, as well as the accuracy of consumption estimates for requisitions and food purchases.

Job Duties
- Ensure culinary production appropriately connects to the Executional Framework
- Ensure proper culinary standards and techniques for preparation of food items including production, presentation, and service standards
- Manage a culinary team including chef managers and hourly staff to ensure quality in final food presentation
- Train and manage culinary and kitchen employees on best practice food production techniques
- Coach employees by creating a shared understanding of goals and how to achieve them
- Plan and execute team meetings and daily huddles
- Develop and maintain effective client and guest rapport for mutually beneficial relationships
