The Executive Chef position at Morrison Healthcare offers a unique and exciting opportunity for culinary professionals who are energetic, entrepreneurial, and passionate about making a positive impact through food. Working as a Sous Chef, you will play a vital role in the successful operation of the Culinary Department at a healthcare facility, supporting the Executive Chef in managing all aspects of food preparation, cooking, menu development, and staff supervision. Job Requirements

  • education level or equivalent culinary training
  • experience in progressive culinary or kitchen management roles
  • catering experience preferred
  • knowledge of high volume and complex foodservice operations
  • proficiency with computer applications including Microsoft Office and Internet usage
  • willingness to engage in client satisfaction programs
  • ServSafe certification preferred

Job Qualifications

  • A.S. or equivalent experience
  • some progressive culinary or kitchen management experience
  • catering experience a plus
  • high volume, complex foodservice operations experience highly desirable
  • institutional and batch cooking experiences helpful
  • comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends focusing on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
  • experienced with computers including Microsoft Office, Outlook, E-mail and Internet
  • willing to participate in client satisfaction programs or activities
  • ServSafe certified highly desirable

Job Duties

  • assist the executive chef with managing cost controls and control expenditures for the account
  • assist the executive chef with planning and creating menus
  • produce and execute catering events
  • roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with company marketing and culinary team
