The company is currently seeking an Executive Chef to join their culinary team immediately. This role is a key leadership position within the Culinary Department of a facility, focused on managing operations, overseeing food preparation, and ensuring quality in the menu offerings. The Executive Chef will collaborate closely with the culinary team and management to develop and implement innovative menus, maintain food cost controls, and support catering events. Job Requirements

  • a.s. degree or equivalent experience
  • prior culinary/kitchen management experience
  • knowledge of catering and high volume foodservice operations
  • proficiency in computer applications including microsoft office suite
  • servsafe certification preferred
  • excellent communication and leadership skills
  • ability to supervise and train kitchen staff
  • commitment to client satisfaction and food safety standards

Job Qualifications

  • a.s. or equivalent experience
  • some progressive culinary/kitchen management experience depending upon formal degree or training
  • catering experience a plus
  • high volume, complex foodservice operations experience highly desirable
  • institutional and batch cooking experiences helpful
  • comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
  • experience with computers including microsoft office (word, excel, powerpoint), outlook, email, and internet
  • servsafe certification highly desirable
  • must be willing to participate in client satisfaction programs/activities

Job Duties

  • assist the executive chef with managing cost controls and control expenditures for the account
  • assist the executive chef with planning and creating menus
  • produce and execute catering events
  • roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with company marketing and culinary team
  • supervise hourly associates as needed
  • collaborate with executive chef and team to maintain high standards of food quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
  • participate in client satisfaction programs and activities
