The Executive Chef role at Bonaventure Senior Living is a pivotal position within their dining services department. This full-time role offers a competitive salary range of $63,000 to $73,000 annually. As an Executive Chef, you will not only manage the culinary staff and oversee the preparation and presentation of all meals but also play a major role in elevating the dining experience for residents. Your duties will encompass event planning, meticulous budget and inventory management, recruitment and training of staff, and ensuring adherence to all health and safety regulations specific to long-term care communities. Job Requirements

  • Must pass criminal background check and drug test
  • 3+ years of experience managing dining services in restaurants, banquets, or long-term care settings
  • experience managing budgets
  • English language proficiency
  • culinary school diploma or bachelor’s degree in hospitality
  • computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and ordering software
  • must be over the age of 21

Job Duties

  • Oversee kitchen and wait staff while managing budget and inventory
  • recruit and maintain kitchen staff
  • lead and inspire excellent customer service for residents
  • ensure meals are served with an appetizing and attractive presentation
  • create and maintain the schedule for the dining services team
  • maintain a clean and organized kitchen and dining room
  • plan and direct all food preparation and service in accordance with Bonaventure Senior Living standards
  • adhere to all state and federal regulations for long-term care communities
  • handle event planning for special events
  • collaborate with health services to provide dining support for residents who require it such as mitigating weight loss or addressing specific dietary needs
