Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in culinary arts, nutrition, food science, or related field a plus
- Minimum of 1-3 years experience in culinary management within an athletic nutrition setting
- Strong knowledge of nutrition needs and demands of athletes
- Experience collaborating with dietitians and nutrition professionals
- Comprehensive understanding of food safety standards, including HACCP
- Excellent culinary skills focused on health-optimized meal preparation
- Leadership and team management capabilities
Job Duties
- Develop recipes, source, build and implement menus with a focus on nutrient-dense foods to optimize health and performance
- Implement food serving, rotating and storage procedures applying FIFO approach including labeling, dating, rotating, and screening products to meet food safety and organizational standards
- Develop guidelines for discarding or returning substandard products
- Synchronize and prepare lunches for business and administration sectors considering player and coach meal needs during off-season
- Collaborate with team dietitians to advise on culinary methods and techniques for athlete-specific meals
- Understand and manage dietary restrictions, food allergies, and intolerances in menu planning
- Ensure adherence to HACCP guidelines and maintain high standards of food safety
