This Executive Chef position at Sodexo is based in Rahway, New Jersey, within Corporate Culinary Leadership for Chef-Driven Dining, and is a pivotal role serving a premier corporate dining account which is part of a Global Strategic Account. This role offers a unique opportunity for a chef who is passionate about culinary excellence, innovation, and creating an engaging and vibrant dining experience. The Executive Chef will lead all culinary operations, focusing on menu innovation and maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and hospitality. This position is designed for a creative culinary leader with a passion for developing modern corporate dining programs that resonate with guests and connect deeply with their preferences and expectations.

As the culinary leader, the Executive Chef will mentor and inspire the culinary team, instilling a culture of creativity, accountability, and continuous improvement. Managing food safety and sanitation practices in accordance with regulatory standards will be a key responsibility along with overseeing food cost, inventory, purchasing, and production planning to maximize operational efficiency and support the financial objectives of the account. Collaboration with clients and internal stakeholders is essential to deliver a seamless, hospitality-driven dining experience that upholds the Sodexo commitment to excellence.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years management experience
  • Minimum 3 years functional culinary experience

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an executive chef or senior culinary leader in corporate dining hospitality or a high-volume culinary environment
  • Strong culinary skills with a passion for crafting high-quality thoughtfully prepared food
  • Leadership abilities that inspire teams build culture and support professional growth and development
  • Solid understanding of food safety HACCP and operational best practices
  • Financial acumen including food cost management purchasing and inventory control
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to partner effectively with clients stakeholders and cross-functional teams
