With a strong commitment to sustainability, social responsibility, and customer satisfaction, Sodexo operates across various sectors including healthcare, education, corporate, and government, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for both customers and employees. Sodexo continuously strives to build a better everyday life for everyone it serves by fostering inclusive workplaces, championing diversity, and driving innovation across all its service areas.
The Executive Chef 4 position at Erlanger Main in Chattanooga, TN, is a critical leadership role within Sodexo’s healthcare food service division. Erlanger Baroness Hospital, where this role is based, is a large 688-bed tertiary referral hospital and a Level 1 Trauma Center that serves a broad region including East Tennessee, North Georgia, North Alabama, and Western North Carolina. This role offers the opportunity to work in a high-stakes hospital environment where quality, nutrition, and patient satisfaction are paramount.
As an Executive Chef 4, you will leverage your extensive culinary expertise and passion for food innovation to manage daily food production activities, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and service. Your responsibilities will include production planning, menu development, inventory control, food costing, and compliance with Sodexo Culinary Standards. You will be tasked with maintaining impeccable food safety and sanitation standards while leading a team of culinary professionals with a focus on training and professional development. This position operates on a Monday to Friday schedule, offering a balanced work-life arrangement.
Sodexo values the importance of consistency and quality in food service, particularly in healthcare settings where specialized diets and allergen management are vital. The Executive Chef 4 will be expected to have specialized knowledge of these areas along with proficiency in using Sodexo's Food Management System (FMS) to streamline operations and enhance reporting accuracy. The role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask efficiently, and exceptional communication abilities to collaborate effectively with Sodexo teams and hospital stakeholders.
In return for your leadership and culinary skills, Sodexo offers a fair and equitable compensation package, dependent on education, experience, and skills, alongside a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, wellness programs, 401(k) with matching contributions, paid time off, company holidays, career growth opportunities, and tuition reimbursement. Sodexo fosters a welcoming and inclusive company culture that values individuality and promotes respect, diversity, and equal employment opportunities. This role is perfect for a motivated, experienced culinary leader eager to make a meaningful impact in a large healthcare facility and grow their career with a global powerhouse in food and facilities services.
