The company is currently seeking a seasoned Executive Chef 4 to join its team at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, located in Greensboro, NC. This hospital is the flagship facility within Cone Health's network, boasting 700 beds and serving as the most comprehensive medical center across a five-county region. This leadership role is vital in providing culinary direction and supervision to ensure outstanding food service delivery. The Executive Chef 4 will lead a sizeable team of approximately 50 frontline associates, directly managing roles such as retail, patient feeding, catering chefs, purchasing managers, and catering managers.
This role is designed for a leader with a passion for helping people and a strong attention to detail, who will implement business practices aligned with Sodexo’s mission, values, and contractual commitments. The Executive Chef 4 ensures client satisfaction and retention by upholding company standards both in culinary excellence and operational efficiency. This involves standardizing culinary systems and procedures across various hospital food service areas, including catering, retail menus, staffing plans, inventory controls, and safety protocols, using Sodexo’s benchmarks as a guide.
The position also requires close collaboration with vendors on procurement activities and oversight of purchasing operations and financial audits. Working in a high-volume hospital environment, the Executive Chef 4 must stay current with culinary trends and manage multiple priorities effectively. The role demands exceptional leadership and communication skills to maintain the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and kitchen cleanliness, while fostering a motivated, engaged culinary team.

- Certified Executive Chef (C.E.C.) a plus
Job Duties
- directly manage retail, patient feeding, catering chefs as well as purchasing and catering manager
- implement and standardize all culinary systems and procedures for hospital including catering, retail menus, LTO's, STG, Mindful, garnishing, panning charts, production, puree standardization, FMS sheets, inventory control, HACCP, cleaning schedules, staffing plans, presentation and quality of food, kitchen cleanliness, safety
- monitor, audit, implement and standardize new menus
- work with vendors on procurement items
- be responsible for purchasing manager and purchasing financial audits
