Job Description

Sodexo is a global leader in integrated facilities management and food services, committed to improving the quality of life for individuals and communities around the world. With a diverse portfolio that includes food service, catering, and facilities management, Sodexo partners with clients to create memorable experiences for both customers and employees. The company places high importance on diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity, fostering a respectful workplace where employees can thrive and innovate. Sodexo's dedication to social, economic, and environmental progress reflects in its operations and the services it delivers internationally.

We are seeking an accomplished Executive Chef to lead the culinary vision for a workplace hospitality program in New York City. This full-time leadership role is perfect for a chef who combines creative ambition with operational discipline, understanding that exceptional food acts as a strategic differentiator and a daily expression of culture. As the culinary leader on site, you will shape a modern, chef-driven program that blends innovation, seasonality, elevated execution, and premium catering experiences.

In this role, you will oversee a sophisticated model where the core food production is managed in a Sodexo commissary kitchen, while your on-site team will be responsible for finishing, plating, and presenting dishes to meet the highest standards. Your work will directly influence the quality of daily dining, special events, executive meetings, and high-profile catering moments—establishing a workplace hospitality experience that sets a new benchmark.

The Executive Chef is expected to be a visionary leader who can define a compelling culinary identity, elevating daily execution while fostering a culture of creativity and accountability. You will develop new culinary concepts and menus that celebrate seasonality and modern food trends, ensuring all culinary standards related to quality, food safety, and presentation are consistently upheld. Designing and executing elevated catering programs for executive-level meetings and large events will be a critical component of this role.

Additionally, you will be responsible for building and mentoring a dynamic culinary team, offering ongoing training, support, and leadership to chefs and frontline staff. Operational excellence is crucial; thus, you will implement best practices and systems that optimize workflows and enhance scalability without compromising quality. Your leadership will create food experiences that are not just meals but meaningful moments that reflect modern workplace culture.

Compensation for this position is fair and equitable, tailored to the candidate's education level and relevant experience. Sodexo provides a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision care, wellness programs, 401(k) plans with matching contributions, paid time off, company holidays, and strong career growth opportunities with tuition reimbursement. More detailed information about benefits and company policies will be provided upon hire.

This is a career-defining opportunity for a chef who thrives in high-expectation environments and seeks to blend culinary vision with operational craftsmanship in a fast-paced, multi-site setting. Join Sodexo and become part of a team dedicated to redefining workplace dining and catering experiences with creativity, excellence, and a deep commitment to quality.
