The role of Executive Chef - Healthcare Culinary Operations at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest in Allentown, PA, presents an exciting opportunity for a seasoned culinary leader to make a significant impact within a dynamic healthcare environment. This position requires a driven individual with a passion for culinary excellence and a strong background in managing patient-facing food production. As the Executive Chef, you will oversee all back-of-the-house culinary operations across retail, catering, and patient service units, managing a team of 30 frontline culinary associates. Your leadership will ensure the delivery of high-quality food services adhering to safety, sanitation, and budgetary standards. You will play a crucial role in menu planning, scheduling production, and coordinating special events while maintaining operational efficiency through advanced systems like Sodexo Food Management Systems (FMS) and Market Connections (MSC). Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3 years of management experience
  • Minimum 3 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
  • Proven hands-on experience overseeing patient culinary production in a hospital or healthcare setting
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
