Job Description

Currently, SodexoMagic is seeking an Executive Chef 3 to lead culinary operations at Jackson State University in Jackson, Mississippi. Jackson State University is a vibrant academic institution recognized for its dedication to fostering learning and excellence among its student body. This position is part of a prestigious Showcase Account within Sodexo's Campus Dining program, which is set to introduce numerous exciting innovations on campus. Sodexo’s Campus Dining services focus not only on delivering nutritious and delicious meals but also on promoting the overall well-being of the college community through sustainable practices and culinary creativity.

As an Executive Chef 3, you will play a crucial role in shaping the dining experience at Jackson State University by overseeing menu planning, ensuring compliance with culinary standards, managing food production and costs, and leading a talented team of culinary professionals. Your responsibilities will include purchasing, inventory management, food cost analysis, and forecasting food production needs to ensure operational efficiency. Upholding Sodexo Culinary standards means maintaining recipe compliance and high food quality at all times. Furthermore, you will be instrumental in developing and motivating your team members to embrace innovation and deliver high-quality culinary experiences.

In addition to culinary skills, this role demands a strong commitment to food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards, ensuring a safe environment for both staff and customers. Familiarity with automated food inventory, ordering, production, and management systems will be essential for success in this position. Job Duties
