Currently, SodexoMagic is seeking an experienced and innovative Campus Executive Chef to spearhead all campus culinary operations at Morgan State University, famously known as "The National Treasure", located in Baltimore, Maryland. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing the full spectrum of culinary services on campus, including residential dining, retail dining facilities, catering, and special event management. The position demands a strategic and hands-on culinary leader who can seamlessly blend creative menu development with operational efficiency and excellence.
The Campus Executive Chef role plays a pivotal part in ensuring that all culinary operations meet the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service. The successful candidate will lead the development and introduction of innovative, trend-aligned menus that cater to diverse student preferences and cultural tastes, thereby enhancing the overall dining experience. Equally important is maintaining consistency in food preparation, recipe execution, and visual presentation across all campus dining outlets.
Operational responsibilities include managing purchasing processes, inventory controls, food cost analysis, production forecasting, and labor efficiency to optimize resources and reduce waste. The Campus Executive Chef will also conduct performance evaluations, foster employee growth through coaching and succession planning, and engage directly with both culinary teams and campus stakeholders to continuously improve dining services. This leadership role requires exemplary communication skills to effectively manage a large, dynamic team and interact productively with students, faculty, and university administration.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years management experience
- Minimum 3 years work experience in food or culinary services
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage food and labor costs
- Proficiency with computer systems
- HACCP training
- Detail-oriented and able to manage conflicting priorities

Job Duties
- Lead all campus culinary operations including residential dining retail dining catering and special events
