Job Description

This role is for a dedicated Executive Chef who will lead daily culinary operations, manage a diverse team of 16 culinary professionals, and oversee a culinary-forward café that experiences peak traffic during the week. The Executive Chef is responsible not only for maintaining the high standards expected from The Good Eating Company but also for innovating and driving forward the menu offerings across various plated and buffet catering formats. This position works closely under the Area Chef and plays a critical role in enhancing the overall guest experience through personal, memorable hospitality.

The Executive Chef will immerse themselves in a hands-on leadership style, leading by example on the kitchen line and engaging directly with both their team and guests. They will spearhead culinary creativity, ensuring the program celebrates chef-driven innovation, seasonal inspirations, and locally sourced ingredients. Their daily responsibilities will encompass menu development that balances operational efficiency with exceptional flavor and presentation standards, maintaining stringent food safety and sanitation compliance, and developing a culture of excellence and creativity among their team.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum three years management experience
  • Minimum three years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts
  • Strong background in culinary operations
  • Expertise across multiple international cuisines
  • Passion for local sourcing, seasonality, and modern food trends
