At St Mary’s College in Moraga, California, Sodexo is seeking an Executive Chef 3 to lead and oversee all culinary operations on campus. This role encompasses responsibility for multiple food service venues such as resident dining, The 1928 Pub, catering, and concessions for sports events. The Executive Chef 3 position is designed for a visionary culinary leader who can manage high-volume dining environments while maintaining excellence and teamwork. The role demands a strong commitment to innovation, ensuring that dining services remain fresh, appealing, and aligned with current culinary trends.

The Executive Chef 3 will be charged with the strategic growth of the campus dining program while ensuring compliance with Sodexo’s culinary standards including recipe adherence and food quality measures. This position is pivotal in maintaining food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety protocols across all culinary operations. In addition to managing daily kitchen activities, the Executive Chef 3 will be responsible for financial aspects such as purchasing, inventory control, food cost analysis, and production forecasting. Leadership responsibilities also include motivating and developing team members to continually embrace culinary innovation and operational excellence.   • bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • minimum 3 years management experience
  • minimum 3 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts

Job Duties

  • be responsible for purchasing, menu compliance, inventory, food cost analysis and food production forecasting
  • ensure Sodexo Culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implemented
  • have the ability and willingness to develop and motivate team members to embrace culinary innovations
  • ensure food safety, sanitation and workplace safety standard compliance
  • have working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems
