At the Mass General Brigham Headquarters in Somerville, MA, Sodexo is seeking a talented and innovative Executive Chef 3 to lead and transform the culinary experience within this bustling corporate environment. As the Executive Chef 3, you will be at the forefront of crafting fresh, modern dining experiences for a sophisticated corporate clientele. This leadership role is perfect for a hands-on chef passionate about delivering high-quality food and service excellence in a fast-paced, dynamic setting. You will drive culinary innovation across multiple service lines including a contemporary café featuring multiple stations such as grill, deli, action station, market bar, salad bar, and coffee bar. Additionally, you will oversee conference services, pantry management, and an expanding catering program.
This role offers a unique opportunity to lead and inspire a team of culinary professionals while maintaining a strong personal touch by being actively involved in kitchen operations approximately 80 percent of the time. You will be responsible for menu development, high-volume catering production, operational planning, cost control, inventory management, and ensuring the highest standards in food quality and presentation. Your leadership will directly impact the overall dining atmosphere and client satisfaction.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years management experience
- Minimum 3 years work experience in food or culinary services
- Experience in restaurants, fast food, vending, catering, or institutional services
- Strong culinary skills
- Ability to lead and manage a team
- Hands-on approach to kitchen operations
- Proficiency in food costing and inventory control
- Availability to work Monday through Friday 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. with occasional evenings
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years management experience in culinary services
- Minimum 3 years functional experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, or mall food courts
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Expertise in menu development and high-volume catering
- Knowledge of food costing, inventory control, and operational efficiencies
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Job Duties
- Lead all culinary operations across café service, catering, and specialty programs
- Develop innovative, seasonal menus that meet the expectations of a sophisticated corporate clientele
- Produce high-volume catering including standard offerings and custom menu creations
- Ensure culinary excellence through standards of presentation, freshness, and flavor
- Oversee ordering, inventory, cost controls, and production schedules
- Work hands-on (80 percent of the time) in the kitchen to guide staff, maintain quality, and support service needs
- Manage, train, and inspire a team of 8 hourly culinary professionals
- Partner with management on operational planning, efficiencies, and client expectations
