The Executive Chef 3 role at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center, located in Nashua, NH, represents a pivotal leadership position within Sodexo’s healthcare food service division. Reporting directly to the Food Operations Manager, the Executive Chef will oversee a dedicated team of 12 culinary professionals responsible for preparing three meals daily from two kitchens. This role demands expertise in managing food preparation for patient room service, internal catering, and cafeteria operations. The Executive Chef is expected to maintain high standards of food quality, safety, and compliance while fostering an efficient, supportive, and safety-focused work environment.

This position requires working predominantly daytime hours with flexibility to cover closing shifts on Wednesday evenings and every other weekend, ensuring continuous leadership presence and operational support. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • minimum three years management experience
  • minimum three years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services
  • ability to manage multiple priorities and high quality customer service
  • experience facilitating open communication and providing a supportive work environment

Job Duties

  • Oversee day-to-day operations and a team of culinarians and production workers
  • deliver high quality food services including retail, catering and patient meal management operations
  • ensure food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standard compliance
  • ensure Sodexo culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implemented
  • initiate plans for improvements and/or enhancements to existing systems (ordering, food production, handling & safety)
  • ensure HACCP, regulatory and standards compliance
