The Executive Chef 2 will play a crucial part in overseeing culinary operations that support a medium-sized account, ensuring that all food services uphold the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
The Executive Chef 2 position involves comprehensive responsibilities, including menu planning, adherence to brand standards, staff management, training, and program execution. Job Requirements
- Associate degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years management experience
- Minimum 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services or mall food courts
- Ability to lead and develop culinary teams
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to manage food safety and quality standards
- Proficiency with inventory and food production management systems

Job Duties
- Implements and coordinates the culinary function
- Directs, trains, develops and mentors cooks, culinary support staff, stock workers, receivers, and utility workers
- Ensures food preparation, production and post production meet operational standards
- Manages culinary operations for catering, retail, and concessions
- Ensures customer and client satisfaction
- Manages financial aspects including food costs, inventory, and labor
- Oversees food and physical safety programs for resident dining operations
- Collaborates with maintenance department to maintain equipment functionality
- Responsible for purchasing, menu compliance, inventory, food cost analysis and food production forecasting
- Ensures Sodexo culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are maintained
- Develops and motivates team members to embrace culinary innovations
- Ensures food safety, sanitation and workplace safety compliance
- Utilizes automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems
