Job Description

Sodexo Campus Services is a leading provider of food, nutrition, environmental, and facilities management solutions on college campuses. With a strong commitment to improving the quality of life for the communities it serves, Sodexo strives to create a better everyday experience for students and staff alike. The company partners with various institutions to deliver memorable experiences through its integrated services, including food service, catering, and facility management. Sodexo values diversity and inclusion, promoting an environment where employees are treated with fairness, respect, and encouragement to be themselves. The company is dedicated to creating equal employment opportunities and fostering a healthy, supportive workplace culture.

The Executive Chef 2 position at Sodexo is based at one of the company’s high-profile accounts located at Clark Atlanta University (CAU) in Atlanta, Georgia. Clark Atlanta University is a private Methodist historically black research university, recognized as the first Historically Black College and University (HBCU) in the Southern United States. Founded in 1865 as Atlanta University and consolidated with Clark College in 1988, CAU serves a diverse student body and focuses on academic excellence and student development. Sodexo’s role on this campus is vital, supporting over 2,000 residential dining meal plan participants through a complex operation featuring a variety of cooking formats and dining styles.

The Executive Chef 2 will be responsible for elevating the culinary experience on campus by overseeing menu creation, ensuring safety and sanitation standards, managing purchasing activities, controlling food costs, and forecasting production needs. This leadership role demands a creative culinary professional who can develop customized menus and organize educational and promotional events to engage students and enhance their dining experience. Additionally, the Executive Chef will occasionally support catering operations on campus to provide seamless event services.

This role requires strong leadership capabilities and excellent communication skills to motivate and develop a team committed to culinary innovation and culinary standards compliance. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a proactive approach to staying current with culinary trends. The position offers competitive compensation commensurate with education, experience, skills, and training, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision care, wellness programs, 401(k) with matching contributions, paid time off, company holidays, career growth opportunities, and tuition reimbursement.

Working at Sodexo means being part of a team that values your individuality and input while contributing to a broader mission of social and environmental progress. The company fosters a workplace culture of diversity and inclusion where all team members can thrive and grow professionally.
