At its core, Sodexo strives to create positive everyday experiences, foster sustainability, and promote social responsibility. The company is recognized for its commitment to diversity, inclusion, and equal employment opportunities, ensuring a workplace where all employees feel valued and respected.
The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor (UMHB), located in Belton, Texas, is the setting for this exciting career opportunity. UMHB is known for its beautiful campus situated just two hours south of Dallas/Fort Worth and one hour north of Austin. As a vibrant institution committed to academic excellence and student well-being, UMHB provides an ideal environment for innovative food and dining services. Sodexo is seeking an Executive Chef 2 to lead culinary operations at this esteemed university campus. This role not only offers a chance to work in a collegiate environment but also provides relocation assistance, making it accessible to talented chefs throughout the region and beyond.
The Executive Chef 2 at UMHB will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food service, including high-volume resident dining and the execution of full-service catering events of up to 500 guests. This position requires a dynamic leader who can maintain Sodexo's rigorous culinary standards while embracing innovative food trends and techniques. The chef will manage purchasing, menu compliance, inventory, food cost analysis, and food production forecasting to maximize efficiency and quality. Additionally, the role demands strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
This leadership position calls for a strong culinary background paired with excellent management and communication skills. The Executive Chef 2 will develop and motivate their team to uphold high culinary standards and implement new ideas that enhance the dining experience on campus. Familiarity with automated food inventory, ordering, production, and management systems is essential to support effective operations. Sodexo offers a competitive salary based on the candidate’s experience, education, and skills, along with a comprehensive benefits package that supports employee health, financial security, and professional growth.
Joining Sodexo at UMHB means contributing to a larger mission of creating healthier, more sustainable dining environments while positively influencing the student community. As part of Sodexo's family, employees are encouraged to bring their authentic selves to work, participate actively in team initiatives, and benefit from career development opportunities such as tuition reimbursement and wellness programs. Sodexo’s commitment to creating a better everyday for everyone ensures that every employee’s contributions are recognized and rewarded, making this role a fulfilling career choice for any passionate culinary professional.
