Sodexo is currently seeking an Executive Chef 2 to lead culinary operations at UMass Memorial HealthAlliance - Leominster Campus. This full-time role offers a competitive salary, which is determined based on the candidate's education, skills, experience, and training, ensuring fair and equitable compensation. The Executive Chef 2 will spearhead the management of patient dining, retail, and catering services, ensuring that all food offerings meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. This pivotal position involves close collaboration with local food initiatives such as GROWING PLACES, Fitchburg Public Market, Worcester Regional Food Hub, and UMass Memorial Health to bring fresh, locally sourced dining options to patients, visitors, and staff, enhancing the overall dining experience within the healthcare setting.
The Executive Chef 2 is responsible for leading daily culinary operations, including menu development with a focus on seasonal and patient-specific needs. They ensure strict adherence to food safety and sanitation standards to maintain a safe and compliant food service environment. Managing inventory, ordering supplies, and controlling food costs are key operational duties, alongside coaching and developing the culinary team to achieve their highest potential. The role requires partnering with clinical and operational leaders to continually improve the patient and guest dining experience, demonstrating strong leadership and operational skills in a high-volume healthcare environment.

Job Requirements
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience
- minimum 2 years management experience
- minimum 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts
- strong knowledge of food safety and regulatory compliance
- experience with menu development and retail dining programs
- proven leadership, team development, and operational skills
- financial acumen with a focus on food and labor management
