At the STIHLS manufacturing facility in Virginia Beach, Sodexo offers a dynamic dining experience through a comprehensive food program that includes a full-service café, a micro-market featuring 24/7 self-checkout convenience, and catering services designed to support on-site meetings and events. The establishment prides itself on delivering high-quality, innovative culinary offerings that cater to a diverse workforce within a fast-paced corporate environment.
The role of Executive Chef 2 at Sodexo’s STIHLS manufacturing campus is a pivotal leadership position designed for a culinary professional who excels in managing all aspects of kitchen operations with hands-on involvement and strategic oversight. This full-time role operates primarily from Monday to Friday, 6 am to 4 pm, with occasional evenings and rare weekends, creating a stable and balanced work schedule. The Executive Chef leads a dedicated team of 10 hourly cooks and works closely with the Kitchen Manager to ensure smooth daily operations.
As the senior culinary leader on-site, the Executive Chef sets and maintains the highest standards for food quality, creativity, and service excellence. The role demands a balance of operational efficiency and culinary innovation, encompassing menu planning, food ordering, inventory management, and strict control over food and labor costs. Approximately 40 percent of the time, the Executive Chef will be hands-on in food production and service delivery, fostering a culture of excellence through mentorship and leadership by example.
Utilizing modern kitchen management systems and computer technology, the Executive Chef oversees critical aspects of operational scheduling, ordering, and reporting, ensuring that the dining experience aligns with Sodexo's commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. This position offers a fair and equitable salary based on experience, education, and training, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package.
Sodexo’s mission to create a better everyday for everyone is deeply embedded in this role. The company values diversity, inclusion, and professional growth, offering opportunities such as career development and tuition reimbursement. Employees benefit from medical, dental, and vision care options, a 401(k) plan with matching contributions, paid time off, and recognized company holidays. Sodexo fosters a supportive and respectful work environment where the contributions of every team member are valued and where collaboration drives success.
Joining Sodexo as an Executive Chef 2 means becoming part of a global team dedicated to culinary excellence, operational leadership, and enhancing the dining experience in the corporate sector.
