Job Description
SodexoMagic Campus segment is seeking an Executive Chef 2 for Wayne State University, located in Detroit, Michigan. SodexoMagic is a vibrant joint venture partnership between NBA Hall of Famer Earvin "Magic" Johnson and Sodexo, which enables the delivery of innovative solutions alongside local partners throughout the communities served. This role is focused within the Campus Food Service Operations in Residential Dining at Wayne State University. The Executive Chef 2 will be responsible for managing culinary operations, ensuring compliance with Sodexo's high culinary standards, and creating a dynamic, innovative environment that supports the dietary needs and wellness of college students. This position requires a balance of creativity and leadership to motivate the culinary team and maintain excellence in food quality and safety.
As an Executive Chef 2, you will lead purchasing decisions, manage inventory, analyze food cost, and accurately forecast food production needs. Implementing corresponding culinary standards like recipe compliance and food quality management forms a key part of this role. - minimum 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc

Job Duties
- be responsible for purchasing, menu compliance, inventory, food cost analysis and food production forecasting
- ensure Sodexo Culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implemented
- have the ability and willingness to develop and motivate team members to embrace culinary innovations
- ensure food safety, sanitation and workplace safety standard compliance
- have working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems
