At Sodexo, we are deeply committed to creating an inclusive and supportive work environment where diversity is valued and every employee's contributions matter. Our mission is to build a better life for all by fostering economic, social, and environmental progress through our partnerships with numerous institutions and businesses. Among the many industries we serve, we specialize in providing comprehensive food and nutrition services to educational institutions, helping to shape healthy environments conducive to learning and well-being for students.

Currently, Sodexo is seeking an Executive Chef 2 to join the Centenary College campus located in Shreveport, LA. This is a full-time opportunity that offers a competitive salary commensurate with the candidate's education level, relevant experience, and skills. The Executive Chef role is vital in overseeing all back-of-house daily culinary food and beverage operations, including resident dining services, retail outlets, and catering functions. This position carries the responsibility of managing the overall unit and interacting closely with the hourly culinary staff, the General Manager, and other departmental managers to ensure client satisfaction and operational excellence.

The Executive Chef at Centenary College will be instrumental in maintaining Sodexo’s high culinary standards by implementing recipe compliance and ensuring exceptional food quality across all dining services. This role requires a culinary professional who demonstrates leadership and an innovative spirit, passionate about coaching and developing team members to embrace contemporary culinary trends and techniques. The Executive Chef must expertly manage purchasing processes, control inventory, conduct food cost analysis, and forecast food production needs to maintain budget compliance and operational efficiency.

A significant aspect of the role involves ensuring strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety regulations, creating a safe and hygienic environment for both employees and customers. The ideal candidate will also be proficient in using automated food inventory, ordering systems, production planning, and management software that streamline kitchen operations and contribute to data-driven decision making.

Sodexo’s commitment to employee success extends beyond day-to-day operations. The company provides a comprehensive benefits package that supports the well-being and career growth of its employees. Employees enjoy medical, dental, and vision care options, wellness programs, and 401(k) plans with attractive matching contributions. Additionally, paid time off, company holidays, and tuition reimbursement opportunities are available, fostering an environment where employees can pursue continuous learning and advancement.

Joining Sodexo as an Executive Chef at Centenary College means becoming part of a larger mission to deliver memorable dining experiences that contribute positively to the campus community. Candidates should bring a strong culinary background, excellent leadership and communication skills, and a passion for culinary innovation. Sodexo values individuals who can inspire their teams, maintain high standards, and contribute to a collaborative and diverse workplace.
