Operating in diverse sectors such as healthcare, corporate, education, and government, Sodexo focuses on enhancing the quality of life through innovative and sustainable solutions. With a strong emphasis on diversity, inclusion, and respect, Sodexo values every individual and strives to create an environment where all employees feel supported and valued. The company is deeply invested in improving the economic, social, and environmental fabric of the communities it serves. At its core, Sodexo is dedicated to fostering memorable experiences by delivering high-quality food service, catering, and integrated facilities management, maintaining a commitment to excellence that positively impacts customer satisfaction and employee engagement.
The Executive Chef 2 role at Sodexo is a pivotal leadership position within its healthcare segment, tasked with overseeing culinary operations at a healthcare account located in Exeter, New Hampshire. This role is unique due to its blend of retail cafeteria operations and patient services, including management of an At Your Request (AYR) room service program designed to enhance the dining experience for patients. The position demands a collaborative, hands-on chef who excels in a team-oriented healthcare environment, demonstrating passion and commitment toward delivering exceptional culinary experiences that contribute to improved patient and customer satisfaction.
As the Executive Chef 2, you will lead a dedicated team of culinary professionals, ensuring high standards of food quality, presentation, and safety. Your leadership will be crucial in managing daily kitchen functions and the patient tray line to guarantee efficiency and compliance with food safety regulations such as HACCP and ServSafe standards. Beyond food preparation, the role involves coaching, developing, and inspiring a team of about nine culinary associates, fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement. The position requires strong collaboration skills, as you will work closely with clinical teams, operations staff, and client stakeholders to enhance the overall dining experience. This collaborative approach not only supports superior food service but also contributes significantly toward patient care and satisfaction.
Compensation is competitive and reflective of the candidate's education, skills, experience, and training, ensuring fair and equitable salary offerings. Sodexo provides a robust benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, wellness programs, a 401(k) plan with company matching contributions, paid time off, company holidays, and opportunities for career growth and tuition reimbursement. This comprehensive package underscores Sodexo's commitment to the well-being and advancement of its employees. The company also emphasizes compliance with workplace safety standards and regulatory requirements, ensuring a safe and supportive working environment.
Overall, this Executive Chef 2 position is ideal for a culinary professional with a strong background in healthcare or contract dining environments, possessing proven leadership abilities and a passion for delivering excellence in a high-volume, dynamic setting. Your expertise in food cost control, purchasing, inventory management, and labor optimization will be essential to the role's success. Sodexo's dedication to innovation, diversity, and quality makes it a rewarding employer for those looking to grow their culinary career while making a meaningful impact on community health and satisfaction.
