The current opportunity is for the position of Executive Chef at Arizona Western College, located in Yuma, AZ. This role is integral to Sodexo's efforts on campus, directly contributing to the creation and maintenance of a healthy, vibrant learning environment for college students. The Executive Chef will oversee the day-to-day culinary operations including retail and catering, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and innovation are consistently met. This position plays a key leadership role by managing purchasing, menu compliance, inventory, food cost analysis, and production forecasting to maintain operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Sodexo’s culinary standards mandate recipe compliance and excellence in food quality, which the Executive Chef is responsible for implementing and maintaining.
Beyond operational oversight, the Executive Chef must exhibit strong leadership by coaching and motivating team members to embrace new culinary trends and innovations. The role requires a proactive approach to food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards ensuring compliance with all regulations. Familiarity with automated food inventory, ordering, production, and management systems is essential for streamlined operations.
