The company manages distinctive independent properties through its Benchmark Resorts & Hotels division, operates European hotels via Axiom Hospitality, and offers integrated workplace and facilities services through PYRAMIDWORKS. Headquartered in Boston, with offices in The Woodlands, Texas, and London, Pyramid combines a global presence with a localized, hands-on approach to hospitality.
At Pyramid, the people are integral to the company’s success. The organization prioritizes creating a supportive, respectful workplace where associates are encouraged to grow in their careers. Team members benefit from direct collaboration with experienced leaders, opportunities to undertake meaningful assignments that stretch their capabilities, and exposure to a wide variety of property types, brands, and markets. Whether a new entrant into the hospitality industry or a seasoned professional, employees find avenues for continuous learning, development, and making a significant impact.
Hyatt Place Athens/Downtown is one of Pyramid’s modern hotel properties, featuring 190 guest rooms and nearly 4,000 square feet of meeting space. As a contemporary and welcoming hotel, Hyatt Place Athens provides a dynamic environment driven by professionalism, teamwork, and high standards of hospitality. Team members at this property are encouraged to build their skills while participating in a culture that supports collaboration and professional growth. Comprehensive training programs and career advancement opportunities are integral to the property's employee development approach, making it an ideal place for hospitality professionals passionate about service excellence and a people-first culture.
The Chef role at Hyatt Place Athens offers a unique opportunity to lead culinary operations in an energetic hotel environment. The position entails overseeing food production, menu development, and kitchen staff management, all while maintaining top-tier standards in food safety, hygiene, and presentation. As the culinary leader, the Chef is expected to foster creativity by designing innovative and guest-centric menus aligned with the hotel’s brand standards. The role demands a proactive approach to managing kitchen operations, controlling food costs, and ensuring an exceptional dining experience for guests.
The Chef will directly supervise kitchen staff, including Sous Chefs, line cooks, and assistants. Responsibilities include recruiting, hiring, training, coaching, and evaluating team members to support their growth and maintain a positive, productive work environment. The Chef must also ensure compliance with food handling and hygiene protocols and monitor guest feedback to continuously enhance service quality.
Operational responsibilities encompass managing labor, food, and supply costs, monitoring inventory levels, reducing waste, and maximizing profitability. The Chef will collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and events teams to develop menus and promotional events that drive revenue and guest engagement.
A critical aspect of the role is maintaining visibility and presence during peak periods, high-volume events, and holidays, demonstrating effective leadership and ensuring smooth kitchen operations. This position supports the broader Food & Beverage Division's success by leading strategic initiatives and operational improvements to elevate the overall guest experience.
Compensation for this full-time position ranges from $60,000 to $70,000, reflective of the candidate's skill set, experience, certifications, and specific location factors. Pyramid Global Hospitality values diversity and inclusion, offering equal opportunities to all employees and fostering an inclusive workplace culture.
