Job Description

Loomis Communities is a distinguished organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of older adults by providing a vibrant, welcoming environment rooted in integrity, security, and hospitality. With a strong commitment to positive aging, Loomis Communities offers resources designed to maximize well-being and personal fulfillment for residents. The community serves as a place where individuals can thrive personally and socially, backed by a team focused on delivering excellent services and fostering meaningful connections. As an established leader in senior living, Loomis Communities emphasizes a culture of respect, collaboration, and continuous improvement to meet the evolving needs of those they serve. Their dedication to quality and compassion has earned them a respected reputation in the field.

We are looking for an Executive Chef to join our team in a full-time salaried position, requiring some weekend availability. This role is an exciting leadership opportunity for a passionate culinary professional eager to advance their career by combining creativity with business and operational management within a hospitality setting. As Executive Chef, you will partner closely with the Dining Director to not only lead the culinary team but also master various business elements such as budget management, labor strategy, and enforcing rigorous safety and sanitation protocols. You will have creative autonomy to develop fresh, seasonal menus on a 28-day cycle that meet the nutritional needs of an aging population, incorporating principles like the Mediterranean diet.

The position calls for a seasoned collaborator who values mentorship, community engagement, and high standards of food quality and service. You will lead efforts to coach and inspire your team, foster a positive work environment, and participate actively in resident dining committees, ensuring that customer feedback is integrated into service enhancements. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include menu planning, food preparation oversight, quality control, and supply chain management. Working in a community setting, you will play a vital role in enhancing residents' dining experiences and contribute to the overall mission and ethical principles upheld by Loomis Communities.

This role offers an exceptional opportunity to influence culinary operations while growing in hospitality leadership, supported by a culture that encourages learning, respect for diversity, and operational excellence. If you are a motivated culinary leader ready to take the helm and impact lives through exceptional dining experiences, Loomis Communities is the place to grow and thrive.
