Job Requirements
- Commitment to Touchmark's values including excellence, teamwork, hospitality, integrity, and compassion
- Ability to work varied schedules including weekends and holidays
- Ability to lift and carry up to 60 pounds and stand for long periods
- Food handler's card
- Willingness to obtain First Aid/CPR certification
- Knowledge of emergency preparedness procedures
- High school diploma or equivalent
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Degree in culinary arts or related field preferred
- At least five years experience as a food services director, manager or chef with leadership responsibilities
- Demonstrated success in running a profitable kitchen
- Knowledge of computer systems including MS Excel and Outlook
- Valid food handler's card
- Willingness to obtain First Aid/CPR certification
- Knowledge of emergency preparedness procedures
- Ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude with residents, family members, visitors, and team members
Job Duties
- Oversee daily kitchen operations including food preparation and service
- Manage and lead kitchen staff by providing training and support
- Develop menus that meet the nutritional and culinary needs of residents
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards
- Monitor and control food costs and inventory
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to maintain quality and cost-effectiveness
- Maintain a positive and professional environment for residents and staff
