Job Description

Stonebreaker Hotel is a distinguished hospitality establishment located in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Nestled just six blocks from the vibrant University of Arkansas campus, this boutique hotel beautifully balances the lively energy of campus life with a tranquil, upscale environment away from the bustling downtown entertainment district. This unique setting allows Stonebreaker Hotel to offer a tasteful and sophisticated guest experience that is both elevated and intentional, catering to guests who appreciate quality, quiet, and comfort.

The hotel prides itself on creating memorable experiences for its guests by maintaining high standards of service and ambiance. Stonebreaker Hotel’s dedication to excellence extends to its Food & Beverage department, where a passionate, innovative team works to deliver culinary delights that complement the hotel’s refined atmosphere. The team is growing, and the hotel is seeking dynamic leaders to join and strengthen its commitment to quality and exceptional guest service.

The role available is that of an Executive Chef, a vital position within the hotel’s Food & Beverage management team. This position involves a blend of leadership, creativity, and hands-on kitchen management. The Executive Chef will be responsible for overseeing the entire kitchen operation, including hiring, supervising, and scheduling kitchen staff for both banquet operations and the hotel’s restaurant outlets. This role demands a committed leader who can lead by example, maintaining a kitchen environment that values teamwork, efficiency, and culinary excellence.

An essential part of the Executive Chef’s responsibilities is to contribute significantly to menu development and the overall culinary direction of the hotel. This means continuously innovating and enhancing the food offerings to ensure they meet the guests' highest expectations and align with the distinctive atmosphere of Stonebreaker Hotel. The successful candidate will need a strong culinary background, ideally with a degree or equivalent experience, and be prepared to work nights and weekends, as required in the hospitality industry.

Stonebreaker Hotel seeks an Executive Chef who is passionate not only about food but also about exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate embraces a hands-on approach, willing to engage directly with the kitchen team to foster an environment of mentorship and collaboration. This role is perfect for an ambitious culinary professional eager to make a significant impact on a prestigious hotel’s food service operations while enjoying a work-life balance that benefits from Fayetteville’s charm and lifestyle.

This is an onsite position based in Fayetteville, Arkansas, and candidates must be willing to relocate if they do not already reside in the area. Stonebreaker Hotel and its parent company, MMI, are committed to cultivating a diverse, inclusive workplace where all team members can be their authentic selves. They strongly encourage applications from minorities, women, protected veterans, and individuals with disabilities. MMI is an Equal Opportunity Employer and actively participates in E-Verify to ensure a lawful and respectful hiring process. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a reputable hotel team and contribute to an esteemed culinary tradition that continues to grow, innovate, and impress its guests.
