The Executive Chef position at Aramark is a pivotal management role that involves overseeing chef managers and hourly culinary staff. The Executive Chef is tasked with developing and executing culinary solutions tailored to meet customer and client tastes and needs. This role is integral in maintaining and elevating food production, presentation, and service standards, ensuring consistent culinary excellence aligned with the company's Executional Framework. The Executive Chef applies advanced culinary techniques and ensures the final presentation and service of food meet the highest quality and safety standards. Beyond day-to-day kitchen operations, the Executive Chef is responsible for fostering a collaborative and motivated culinary team through effective coaching, training, and recognition. They also manage all operational facets, including food and labor targets, margin improvement, supply chain protocols, and compliance with safety and quality assurance standards. The role requires interaction with guests to build and sustain effective client and guest relationships, thereby supporting Aramark's mission of delivering exceptional dining experiences. The Executive Chef must have a strong understanding of regional culinary trends and be adept at driving performance metrics to enhance profitability. Job Requirements

  • Requires at least 4 years of culinary experience
  • At least 2 years in a management role preferred
  • Requires a culinary degree or equivalent experience
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to simplify the agenda for the team
  • Requires advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the food profession
  • Includes experiential knowledge required for management of people and or problems
  • Requires oral reading and written communication skills

Job Duties

  • Ensure culinary production appropriately connects to the Executional Framework
  • Ensure proper culinary standards and techniques are in place for preparation of food items including production presentation and service standards
  • Manage a culinary team including chef managers and hourly staff to ensure quality in final presentation of food
  • Train and manage culinary and kitchen employees to use best practice food production techniques
  • Coach employees by creating a shared understanding about what needs to be achieved and how it is to be achieved
  • Reward and recognize employees
  • Plan and execute team meetings and daily huddles
