Job Description

Danberry at Inverness is a distinguished luxury retirement community dedicated to enhancing the lives of its residents through exceptional service and a warm, welcoming environment. Located in a serene and beautiful setting, Danberry at Inverness prides itself on creating a vibrant and supportive community where seniors can enjoy an active, healthy, and fulfilling lifestyle. The community offers a range of amenities and services designed to meet the varying needs and preferences of its residents, with a strong focus on compassionate care and high-quality dining experiences. As part of the larger Danberry senior living family, Danberry at Inverness benefits from the expertise and resources of a well-established company with a strong reputation in the senior living industry.

Joining the team as an Executive Chef at Danberry at Inverness means stepping into a unique culinary role that combines passion for food with a balanced work-life schedule. This full-time position, starting at $76,000 annually plus a $500 sign-on bonus, is perfect for chefs seeking to re-evaluate their career trajectory away from traditional, high-pressure kitchen environments. The role involves overseeing the full scope of culinary production within the Community Culinary Services Department, ensuring every meal served meets the highest standards of quality, taste, and presentation.

The Executive Chef typically works a dinner service scheduled from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm, allowing ample time to enjoy personal and family life outside of work hours. This schedule is tailored to provide a better balance between professional passion and personal fulfillment. Responsibilities include supervising kitchen staff, planning menus that accommodate various dietary needs and preferences, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation, and engaging directly with residents to ensure satisfaction. This role offers the rare opportunity to connect with inspiring seniors and be part of a forward-thinking community that values not only culinary excellence but also hospitality and genuine human connection.

As a leader, the Executive Chef plays a critical role in fostering a positive kitchen culture, training and developing employees, managing budgets, and supporting organizational goals to drive revenue and occupancy. Candidates must be capable of working weekends and holidays, reinforcing their commitment to the community’s continuous service. Comprehensive benefits such as medical, dental, vision, 401k with employer match, paid time off, short-term and long-term disability, and employer-paid life insurance underscore Danberry at Inverness’s dedication to employee well-being and professional growth.
