The role of Executive Culinary Manager at Topgolf is a vital leadership position responsible for delivering top-tier culinary experiences that uphold the brand's high standards. This role involves managing the entire kitchen team and all culinary operations across the venue. The Executive Culinary Manager supervises, trains, and coaches staff, driving engagement to ensure the delivery of rockstar-level meals that excite and satisfy guests. This leadership position requires a blend of culinary expertise and team management capabilities to maintain consistent food quality, sanitary and safety procedures, cost controls, and vendor relationships.

In this position, the Executive Culinary Manager leads the kitchen team by setting clear expectations and developing culinary staff to peak performance. They oversee scheduling labor, managing inventory, placing orders, and maintaining kitchen facilities. Monitoring and controlling food and labor costs according to budget is crucial, alongside standardizing recipes to guarantee dish consistency and quality. This manager also collaborates with corporate teams to approve recipes and design special event menus. Ensuring kitchen equipment is properly maintained and operating safely is another key responsibility.

This role is designed for a seasoned culinary professional with a minimum of 8 years of culinary management experience who thrives in fast-paced environments. Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of culinary management experience
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility for the duration of a scheduled shift
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 lb
  • Ability to stoop and bend
  • Ability to work in high-temperature conditions (up to 100 degrees) for extended periods of time

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8 years in culinary management
  • Proven ability to develop a culinary team
  • Bachelor's degree or related culinary degree preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards

Job Duties

  • Supervise the team in providing best-in-class culinary experiences
  • Coach and develop the team and drive associate engagement
  • Delegate tasks and work with your team

  • Monitor inventory and purchase product
  • Maintain food and labor costs according to budget, with a full understanding of COGS
  • Select and develop recipes to corporate approval
  • Standardize production recipes to ensure consistent quality
  • Establish presentation technique and maintain quality standards
  • Plan and cost menus for special events, chef choice menus
  • Ensure proper equipment operation and maintenance
  • Oversee safety and sanitation in the kitchen
  • Create action plans to respond to opportunities
  • Communicate and effectively partner with upper management, Home Office Leadership and vendors
