The Executive Chef position at Acts Retirement-Life Communities is a full-time role that entails overseeing multiple dining venues along with the food production staff. This leadership role is crucial to maintaining culinary excellence by creating innovative recipes, developing menus, managing food and non-food inventory ordering, and ensuring compliance with budgeted financial guidelines. The Executive Chef plays a key part in maintaining exceptional food quality and safety standards in accordance with Federal, State, and local regulations. Additionally, this role involves fostering a highly engaged staff through regular production meetings, coordinating recruitment and retention efforts, and managing employee schedules efficiently. The salary range for this position is $81,689 to $99,985 per year, with starting pay dependent on skills and experience.

Job Requirements

  • Degree in culinary arts preferred
  • minimum of ten years’ experience in relevant food service environments
  • knowledge of the food industry and trends
  • in-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local food safety regulations
  • ability to manage multiple venues and lead a diverse staff effectively
  • strong interpersonal and decision-making skills
  • commitment to upholding quality and safety standards

Job Qualifications

  • Degree in culinary arts preferred
  • minimum of ten years’ experience in full-service restaurant, catering, healthcare, country club, hotel, or cruise line environments
  • knowledge of the food industry and current trends
  • in-depth understanding of federal, state, and local food safety regulations
  • strong leadership and team management skills
  • excellent organizational and communication abilities
