Their approach integrates the core values of compassion, innovation, and strong community ties, ensuring that every team member contributes meaningfully to the residents' quality of life. The company culture promotes collaboration across all levels of staff, fostering a workplace where ideas are shared, professional growth is encouraged, and excellence in care is standard. Monarch's commitment extends beyond just senior living; they invest in their team with comprehensive benefits and a supportive work environment, making them a preferred employer in the sector. The company offers full-time employment opportunities with a competitive salary range, emphasizing both personal and professional development within their ranks.
The Executive Chef position at Monarch and Brandywine Senior Living is a critical role responsible for the comprehensive management and operation of the dining department. Reporting to the Executive Director, this exempt salaried position offers an annual salary between $80,000 and $85,000. The Executive Chef oversees all dining services with the primary goal of providing residents with nutritious, well-plated meals that meet diverse dietary needs. This role is multifaceted, involving the planning, organizing, and leading of day-to-day culinary operations while ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local food safety and sanitary regulations. Beyond kitchen management, the Executive Chef plays a pivotal part in recruiting, training, and supervising kitchen and dining staff, thus building a high-performing team that upholds Monarch’s mission and values. They are responsible for establishing policies and procedures that maintain food service standards, control costs, and optimize labor and inventory management. Moreover, this role requires active community engagement, representing the senior living community positively to residents, families, and the broader community to enhance occupancy and foster trust. The Executive Chef also participates in budget development and approval processes and supports community events to build a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere. Strong organizational skills, a commitment to resident wellness, and an ability to adapt to regulatory changes are essential for success in this role. Monarch also values health and safety in the workplace, expecting the Executive Chef to maintain a safe environment for both staff and residents, ensure proper use of equipment, and uphold all compliance standards related to food safety, risk management, and record-keeping. This position demands occasional weekend availability as Manager on Duty, reflecting the leadership and accountability expected. Joining Monarch means becoming part of an organization that not only prioritizes outstanding senior care but also supports its employees through comprehensive benefits like health insurance, retirement plans with company match, paid time off, and tuition reimbursement, among others, thereby fostering a workplace where excellence and community go hand in hand.
