Job Description

Oak Woods Manor, a distinguished senior living community under the prestigious Tutera Senior Living & Health Care umbrella, offers more than just a place to live — it’s a vibrant, supportive environment where seniors thrive with dignity, comfort, and exceptional care. Tutera Senior Living & Health Care has, since its founding in 1985, been dedicated to providing premier senior services. This family-owned company places great emphasis on personalized care and a community-oriented philosophy known as YOUNITE, which centers on respectful, individualized attention to the unique needs and preferences of each resident and team member. Through this approach, Oak Woods Manor serves as a beacon of excellence in senior housing, combining compassionate care with a warm, engaging atmosphere.

The role of Executive Chef at Oak Woods Manor is a pivotal one, designed for a culinary expert who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of senior residents through exceptional dining experiences. This position requires a dynamic leader to helm the culinary team, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, portion control, and waste minimization — all while fostering an environment of innovation, teamwork, and satisfaction. The Executive Chef plays a critical role in not only daily kitchen operations but also in driving culinary excellence that meets company goals related to budgeting, food and labor costs, food safety, and sanitation. Beyond overseeing meal preparation, the Executive Chef will actively engage with the team to continuously improve satisfaction among residents, employees, and clients, ensuring every dining experience is one of comfort, nourishment, and delight.

This full-time opportunity comes with competitive compensation and an extensive benefits package, reflecting Tutera’s commitment to its workforce. The ideal candidate will excel in high-pressure, large-scale food service operations, bringing no less than three years of kitchen managerial experience, preferably within long-term care or senior health settings such as LTC, SNF, AL, or MC facilities. A professional demeanor combined with excellent communication skills is essential to effectively lead and inspire the culinary team while maintaining the highest standards of operational excellence.

By joining Oak Woods Manor as an Executive Chef, you become part of a team that values development and growth, supported by initiatives like Tutera University. This program offers continuous learning opportunities, helping every employee enhance their skills and career trajectory. Choosing Tutera means embracing a workplace culture with a heart—where every decision and every day is inspired by the commitment to serve others. If you are a culinary rockstar with a passion for seniors and a drive to excel, Oak Woods Manor offers you an inspiring and rewarding career path where your skills can truly shine and make an impact.
