Flik Independent School Dining (FISD), a division of Compass Group, has been a pioneer in transforming foodservice in private and independent schools for over 40 years, serving 300 communities. FISD is passionate about delivering outstanding culinary experiences by using fresh, locally sourced ingredients that support sustainable agricultural practices. We are currently seeking an Executive Chef to lead culinary operations at one of our independent school dining accounts. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to spearhead all culinary functions, manage a team of culinary associates, and uphold the highest standards of safety and sanitation. As an indispensable member of the culinary team, the Executive Chef will oversee menu planning, cost control, inventory management, and the rollout of new culinary programs in collaboration with marketing and culinary leadership. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three to five years of culinary management experience
  • Experience with high volume food production and catering
  • Ability to manage budgets and control costs
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Manage cost controls and control expenditures for the account

  • Lead and manage a team of culinary associates
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
