Proof of the Pudding has recently partnered with the Slammers, a professional sports team, and is seeking a dynamic and experienced Executive Chef to oversee the culinary program within the stadium venue. This is an exciting opportunity for a culinary professional who is passionate about leadership and operational excellence in a fast-paced, high-profile environment. The Executive Chef will be responsible for managing all culinary aspects of the premium hospitality and concessions programs during sporting events, concerts, catering functions, and other special events hosted at the stadium. The role requires hands-on leadership to ensure every element of the kitchen operates smoothly, delivering culinary creations that not only meet but exceed guest expectations. The Executive Chef will also focus on maximizing revenue while effectively controlling expenses, ensuring financial objectives are met or surpassed.
In this leadership role, the Executive Chef will plan and execute game-day and event menus that align with the company’s commitment to quality and innovation. They will maintain a safe, secure, and healthy environment by enforcing strict sanitation standards and legal regulations. Collaboration with the General Manager is key to understanding event details, custom menus, setups, and logistics to guarantee seamless execution. The Executive Chef will also manage purchasing and inventory for all culinary operations, oversee the financial performance of the venue’s food services by forecasting requirements, preparing budgets, and analyzing financial variances, and create detailed financial reporting including tracking labor costs versus sales.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or related field preferred
- minimum 5 years of executive chef or comparable culinary leadership experience
- knowledge of food safety regulations and standards
- strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- proficiency in inventory management and purchasing
- ability to analyze financial reports and manage budgets
- willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

Job Duties
- Plan and execute game-day and event menus
- maintain a safe, secure, and healthy environment by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures
- manage and work closely with General Manager to understand event details including custom menus, event setup, and specifics
- oversee all culinary aspects of game-day food service areas
- execute events and food service while maintaining high food quality and presentation
- manage purchasing and inventory for culinary operations
- meet venue financial objectives by forecasting, budgeting, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions
- create weekly financial reporting including declining balance, invoice tracking, and labor vs. sales reports
- develop, implement, and communicate creative menu items adhering to company standards
- manage financial goals and food cost while maintaining and tracking the venue's budget
- train, hold accountable, and schedule culinary staff
- lead and coach culinary department to develop a strong and growing team
