Job Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in culinary arts preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years of food service experience including at least 2 years in a management role
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper storage and handling procedures
  • Required food service certifications per state and local regulations such as ServSafe
  • Working knowledge of HACCP standards
  • Ability to frequently stand, walk, and manually handle materials up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to bend, lift, and reach regularly
  • Willingness to adhere to and enforce food safety and health regulations
  • Effective leadership and communication skills

Job Duties

  • Lead and manage all aspects of the community dining program with a strong focus on quality and customer service
  • Oversee staffing, scheduling, inventory, and budget control for the dining department
  • Maintain a visible presence in the dining room to ensure food quality and resident satisfaction
  • Supervise all food preparation and service activities
  • Prepare menus using approved recipes while incorporating creativity based on resident and regional preferences
  • Train, develop, and coach dining services team members
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
  • Prepare and submit required reports accurately and on time
  • Perform other duties as assigned
