Job Description

Job Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in culinary arts preferred
- Minimum of 7 years of food service experience including at least 2 years in a management role
- Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper storage and handling procedures
- Required food service certifications per state and local regulations such as ServSafe
- Working knowledge of HACCP standards
- Ability to frequently stand, walk, and manually handle materials up to 50 lbs
- Ability to bend, lift, and reach regularly
- Willingness to adhere to and enforce food safety and health regulations
- Effective leadership and communication skills

Job Duties
- Lead and manage all aspects of the community dining program with a strong focus on quality and customer service
- Oversee staffing, scheduling, inventory, and budget control for the dining department
- Maintain a visible presence in the dining room to ensure food quality and resident satisfaction
- Supervise all food preparation and service activities
- Prepare menus using approved recipes while incorporating creativity based on resident and regional preferences
- Train, develop, and coach dining services team members
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
- Prepare and submit required reports accurately and on time
- Perform other duties as assigned
