Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university or one to four years related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret common financial reports
- Ability to read and implement safety policies and procedures
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers or regulatory agencies
- Ability to write speeches and articles for publication
- Ability to effectively present information to customers, management and public groups
- Clear communication skills in person, telephone and writing
- Ability to understand and manipulate accounting concepts such as budgeting, cost analysis, and financial planning
- Reasoning skills for problem-solving and planning
- May require franchise specific certification

Job Duties
- Hire, schedule, orient, train and develop kitchen workers including job duties, food production, sanitation, safety, guest satisfaction and company policies
- Cook and carve meats and prepare dishes during rush periods and for banquets and social functions
- Plan or participate in planning menus, prepare and portion foods, and utilize surpluses and leftovers to prevent waste
- Specify number of servings to control portion costs
- Supervise kitchen personnel to ensure kitchen and equipment cleanliness according to sanitation guidelines
- Taste and observe food to ensure conformance with recipes and guest satisfaction
- Supervise inventory, storage, and distribution of foodstuffs and supplies
- Inventory and purchase foodstuffs, kitchen supplies, and equipment following company purchasing guidelines
- Assist in budgeting for the kitchen area and setting prices for food items
- Meet with sales staff, customers, or clients to resolve menu issues or plan special menus
